Record shot of one of the Great Northern Divers seen this morning at Staines Reservoir. A very smart bird in summer plumage and it was nice to watch it peering under the water checking for prey. First Yellow Wag and Swift of the year too - with @jim-rose.bsky.social.

It was warblers galore early this morning at Otmoor with @jim-rose.bsky.social. Highlights were reeling Groppers, Garden Warbler, Cuckoo, and a booming Bittern. There were Sedge Warblers all over the place and we got some cracking views later in the morning when they started to show.

Cuach Cores is back! 😀 November was the last time we received a signal from him before he re-appeared on 8 April in western Algeria! He is now crossing the Sahara in earnest! 🌞 This time last year, he was still in Nigeria, not arriving in Europe until the end of April. #Ornithology 🌍
