My family Thanksgiving was so much better after we all confessed we don't really like turkey and started having alternate meat dishes. And the timing was more consistent.

Dinner is the big meal of the day, no matter when it happens. Usually it's the midday meal for farmers, or evening meal once we all got industrialized. Lunch and supper are the smaller meals. Thanksgiving dinner you want to be good and empty for, and everyone present, so it's delayed a bit

We had several minutes of rather opaque, perhaps even possibly fluffy, rain this morning. But it got better.
