You also need to vaccinate those cows and test regularly for disease, including bovine TB. It’s only because of federal programs that TB has been reduced to such extremely low levels. Doesn’t matter whether you’re a small farmer or a big one.

The Republicans have had a clear agenda and the tools for it, and have been systematically doing it since Goldwater. We don’t. Start building now. AOC speaks most comprehensively about this, and is building a machine to carry it forward. What’s our vision?

Trump & Co have profoundly degraded every aspect of public discourse. Instead of boxing gloves or guns, how about a clear, consistent agenda, over years, starting with basics like universal healthcare and climate policies that actually reduce the use of fossil fuels.

A wonderful reminder! Thank you. My personal opinion: modern human populations could not be sustained without vaccines and other (mostly much less visible) triumphs of public health.
