Govt shutdown drag on the overall economy too. After the five-week partial shutdown in 2018-19, CBO estimated that the U.S. economy lost ~$3B even after everything was turned back on.

Today they interviewed a Dem who won their seat in Trump district only 3 accomplished it. Very powerful message said that giving the DC message-Top down is not working. It has to be from the people/voters up. It requires listening to what their constituents think is important & crafting policies!
