I’m still injured and unable to run but at least I can still volunteer. Set up and finish token duties today at War Memorial Park junior parkrun. 140th volunteer credit at this event and 216th at all events. 138 young runner/walkers today. #parkrunuk #lovejuniorparkrun #loveparkrunvolunteering

I’m smiling in this photo as it was taken before the run. The usual course was changed and it became a 3 lap run with some very uneven ground. I managed to strain my calf muscle and had to limp over the finish line. 🙁 #parkrunuk #loveparkrun

I can’t believe that it is 44 years since I ran my first full marathon. No chip timing, no nutrition at water stations (we did get a wet sponge 😂) and no medal at the finish. We had to wait until the results were published in the local newspaper and then we could collect a hand typed certificate. 😃

Nice run on a familiar route,this morning. Sun trying to poke through the clouds but it is definitely cooler today. Another run closer to the weekend.

Had a little tootle around Coventry parkrun for my 300th parkrun. Many of the other local parkruns were cancelled due to the high winds but the runners of Coventry are a hardy lot! 830 runners braved the weather to complete the course. #parkrunuk #loveparkrun #300

Beautiful sunny morning - perfect for running. Running isn’t cheaper than therapy but at least you can enjoy the views for free.

Cooler,this morning but still sunny. Just a gentle trot around familiar places. People are so used to seeing me out running that if they meet me walking they usually say, “Not running today?” I do have a life outside of being a runner. 😂😂 #ukrunchat #runningmotivation #runnersover65

Mixed things up on today’s run — a bit of road, then into the park where the new paths made it feel like running on fresh ground. The park will look fantastic when the new lighting and landscaping has been completed.
