We’re making progress in the Fillmore. Today, the city received an application to create 1,800 homes and a grocery store on the former Safeway site — an important first step in the right direction.

Proposition 50 passes. By a landslide.

And in San Francisco, we led the way.

Our Sanctuary City Ordinance has led the way for decades and today I Introduced legislation to make it abundantly clear: our Sanctuary protections apply to any federal agency doing civil immigration enforcement.

Like I said this weekend, we can't lose our spirit in San Francisco — we have to celebrate joy.

Joy is how we take back our streets. And today we brought thousands of San Franciscans out to commemorate Dia De Los Muertos in the heart of the Tenderloin.
