Vowels were the biggest threat to American democracy all along. Who knew.

Just left the funeral service for these children, community members killed by Israeli airstrike in South Lebanon yesterday. Dearborn is reeling. What we understand here is that the atrocities we fund and facilitate abroad always come back home.

This is one of the funnier lines I've seen it a book review.

As @ositanwanevu.com wrote last year, “the student left is the most reliably correct constituency in America.”

Life in 2025 is wild. You'll be reading a news article when suddenly a pop-up informs you that "billionaires control much of the information that reaches the public."

Ta-Nehisi Coates’s point that the material is downstream from culture is easy to cast aside, but its explanatory power is undeniable (as my colleague @shahrzadshams.bsky.social’s work on the culture of neoliberalism clarifies so well).

Democracy cannot survive anywhere without journalists. We are witnessing the deadliest assault on journalists of our lifetimes right now. Democracy advocates must speak out against the killing of journalists.

I was bummed that Michigan won't see it but then I remembered it would look like this regardless

Truly astonishing that Palestinian journalists prepare death notes like this, telling us they will be killed, continue reporting anyway, and then are killed. And hardly a whimper from the institutional world ostensibly devoted to press freedom.
