Polar vortex has invaded the mid-Atlantic. This male Cardinal on my backyard bird feeder is cold, his feathers are puffed up a bit. He’s cold, I’m cold, everyone is cold.

I started walking at night during the pandemic and haven’t stopped. I get my steps in while listening to an audiobook and stop occasionally to photograph the sky. Sometimes I’m out until midnight. This was the waning moon a few nights ago.
