Like any interfacing it will wear thinner with time and washing but the fabric and stitching will remain in tact.

The interfacing is thin and will wear thinner with time and washing. I do not know about the longarm, but I wouldn't think it to be a problem, after all t-shirt quilts have interfacing in them too...
