The right wing is claiming that Putin only invaded Ukraine because they asked to join NATO. Ukraine did not seek NATO membership until after Russia invaded Crimea in 2014, nullifying the security agreement Russia made in order for Ukraine to give up 2,000 nuclear warheads in 1991.

CPAC speakers are pushing a 3rd trump term… After Trump issued an executive order saying only Presidents can interpret the law regarding executive power. So he can ignore the judge when they rule he can’t run for a 3rd term. If the GOP doesn’t stop this we will have an American Putin very soon.

If Congress sits back while Trump grabs power from the judicial branch, they’ll be next. He is already usurping their power by going around them to pass executive orders instead of legislation, which is wild, because he has a majority in both houses of Congress!

Congress needs to meet today and pass a resolution that the executive order Trump signed to try to eliminate the power of the judicial branch is unconstitutional.

YouTube is now completely blocked in Russia. YT is owned by Google. Google has to fight this censorship, so the Russian people have access to more than just state news. Remember Alexei Navalny. He found the Russian people through YouTube- but Russia can’t murder every YouTuber, can they?

The more I read about ‘Make America Healthy Again’ the more I get confused. You want to regulate the food supply, get more access to healthy, organic food, but plan to deregulate the entire industry? It makes no sense. A GOP Congress will not support tighter regulations on food additives and such.

I have always hated the idea that Presidents can pardon anyone, and they often abuse that power to settle personal vendettas and make political statements. Rarely, an injustice is righted, but even that is always in the eye of the beholder. I say remove the power from the office.

There is a proposed 25% cut to DART funding in the TX legislature. this means that the thousands of people who rely on the DART will have fewer routes and less security. #texas please let your STATE reps know you are against this funding cut.

My biggest fear is that if there are negative economic conditions in the next four years Americans will scapegoat some group of people instead of policy that has more of an impact. It’s what happened in Germany after WwI reparations caused serious economic pain to the German people.

I really would like to see big money taken out of Us politics, but as long as Citizens United stands, we are stuck. The politicians will not vote to take away their advantages.
