Another super frenetic action game. A 2D shooter about diving into a fleet of derelict alien ships in power armor to shut down ancient security systems. Banger soundtrack, great action. Still need to check out the sequel, Gunhead.

One of my favorite horror games, and one of my favorite games of 2015. Got way deeper into questions about self and consciousness than I expected. Plus, love some good goopy horror.

Discovering that I have a thing for games with fast, knife's-edge encounters. Love the way the ghostrunner games feel. Movement feels heavier and more precise than in games like Titanfall, but somehow the movement and combat still just *click*.

During lockdown, I splurged and bought a racing wheel, intending to use it for some of the racing games I own. Instead, I spent about a hundred hours driving trucks across Europe. I still bust this game out a lot during the cold months.

Take Ace Combat and turn all the dials up to 11. Honestly a pretty impressive love letter to Ace Combat games, given that the core dev team is fewer than 5 people. I love the way this game feels to play.

A game featuring 2d aerial combat with giant methane-fueled airships, a touch of interactive fiction, and a lot of lunar lander: lethal edition. As you play this game, you'll come to realize that nothing on the navigation screen is for decoration, and every button & dial does something

Sadly de-listed in 2015, but a stand-out in my memory (still playable if you happen to own it, though). A zero-g, six degrees of freedom shooter set in earth's orbit after a mining disaster blows off a chunk of the moon. A really neat spin (literally) on an FPS game.

The Metro games scratch an itch in an incredibly satisfying way for me. Last year I played 2033 and Last Light on Ranger difficulty (higher damage and reduced HUD) and it rocked. My favorite post-apocalyptic tunnel rat simulator.
