Your friendly neighbourhood book-reviewing ex-microinfluencer who hasn't reviewed a book since 2022.
My 2026 reading plans are the same as they have been for the past few years: aim to read 50 books, fail to manage reading 50 books, and then try again next year.

It's a solid cycle.

My whole adult life, I've had an interest in frugality, and even when disability has made cooking harder on me, I still love to make soups and stuff from leftovers like this.

Probably a good thing, since disability is expensive, so we might eat a lot of turkey soup, but at least we'll be well fed!

Very true! Can we maybe just get huge snowfalls specifically into wells? If we get another such terrible winter, at least there'll be that benefit. This summer was such a dry nightmare!

Oh hell, no thank you! That was a terrifying winter! I moved to PEI between 2 storms, we had no snow shovels, and my partner literally had to leave our new place by the window because the snow was so high against the door. Nobody needs a repeat of that winter!

Same! If it is, then nobody will see me again until spring thaw!

So, y'know, next mid-May. :p

Windchill of -29 here on the coast, and hooboy, was I not expecting to wake up to that this morning!

Stay warm, friend!

Like, I'm sorry the fascists are giving you difficult choices. But that's what fascists fucking do. The only legit answer is "fuck you make me". The only answer that shows you have actual fucking principles not preferences is "fuck you make me". And that sucks. But here we are.
