Lawmakers will vote on a proposal that would change Pell Grant-eligibility requirements. But experts say the change, which would increase the amount of credit hours a student needs to take to qualify, will cut off access to schooling for part-time students. chroni.cl/459qBTA
Thousands of College Students Could Soon Lose Their Pell Grants
Congressional Republicans’ budget bill, now awaiting a vote in the Senate, would curb eligibility for those enrolled part time. Experts say community colleges would take a hit.

Reminders:

"Concentration camps" aren't the same as "extermination camps." Both were/are horrific.

Most Nazi camps were *outside Germany*, away from the eyes of German citizens.

Those trains? Were to, uh, deport the category of people whose lives were deemed unimportant.

Never again is now.

Not good for upstate NY who deserves better, but good for the UN?
Trump pulled Stefanik’s U.N. abassador nomination to protect her House seat because Democrats are surging, even in deep-red districts. Add in a flipped seat, Fox News hosts getting humiliated, and some surprise court wins, and you’ve got a Week In Wins worth reading.

Precisely.
The only way anything will change is with PRESSURE.

When was the last time your higher education institution required loyalty oaths? I recently read a file from the 1930s about this topic in which American administrators & faculty refused to follow such a law in the US. What history of your institution do you know? #askyourarchivist ?

Well, we have all been saying higher education is a business… (yes I am being sarcastic)
President Trump announced that he's moving the nation's $1.7-trillion federal student loan program "immediately" to the Small Business Administration. Skeptics say that's probably illegal and would throw the financial aid system into chaos. chroni.cl/4c17Kvu
