I really wanted to make something for myself this week and REALLY wanted to do this project quickly, so she's not as good as she could be but it's my first time making the #jaqstudiowoolfork dress, and my first dress more generally! Excited to do this pattern again as a shirt.

Made Robert some #ThreadTheoryJedidah shorts! I learned quite a bit with these, including adding a zipper and fly. Hoping they hold up to the summer wear!

I saw this painting in May at her show at the Whitney. It is huge, beautiful, and clearly standing up for Black trans and gender non-conforming folks. Good on Sherald for this. She is an icon and her works matter more than cow-towing to this administration.

Hey Milwaukee bike riders: some questions. I did my first ride of the season today. I've struggled with feeling comfortable riding here (moved here almost 2 years ago). We went on the Hank Aaron for the first time, leaving from our home in Brewer's Hill. #bikesky #mke #milwaukee

Uh oh a two-sew weekend. Made this #closetcorecielo top out of a kitenge fabric my sister purchased for me as a gift when living in Malawi. I've held onto it for years, nice to find a purpose for it. Also happy my sewing skills are growing and I could knock this out in an afternoon

Uh oh a two-sew weekend. Made this #closetcorecielo top out of a kitenge fabric my sister purchased for me as a gift when living in Malawi. I've held onto it for years, nice to find a purpose for it. Also happy my sewing skills are growing and I could knock this out in an afternoon

The folks saying knit fabrics are harder to work with than wovens are NOT LYING. This shirt was a real pain to put together, and with the stitches being harder to undo when I messed up, it took longer than expected. Glad I finished it but also going to move back to wovens asap

#closetcorepietra pants! First pair of pants. Shortened the pattern by 2", and did a felled seam in the front. Will likely size down if and when I make these again but happy with my first pair
