Every time you bully somebody for riding an e-bike you’re not just being a pointless rude gorm, you’re actively harming the modal shift to a more sustainable future. E-bikes replace cars for many. That doesn’t need to impact the sanctity and purity of your cycling hobby.

"Wales’s 20mph speed limit has cut road deaths. Why is there still even a debate?" - really nice to see our motonormativity research being used to explain this. Cheers, @peterwalker99.bsky.social

Wales’s 20mph speed limit has cut road deaths. Why is there still even a debate?
Research suggests the scheme may be more popular than thought, with consultations dominated by a loud minority

There can be lots of gatekeeping in the cycling community so just remember that when it comes to biking there are only two rules: Wear what you want. Ride what you want.

One of the worst Gormless Gaps I know. Looks how the barrier slashes into the pedestrian space so that motorists are freed from having to drive carefully. And look at the cities we've got thanks to not expecting people to drive carefully

“A 5-year study of 263K U.K. commuters, published in the British Medical Journal in 2017, found regular cycling cut the risk of death from any cause by 41%, and the incidence of cancer and heart disease by 45% and 46% respectively. Other large-scale studies have found similar.” Via @CarltonReid.com

There is no world where we solve climate change without consuming less, including driving less. No amount of magical paint can make a car move without substantial external energy input. Ride a bike!
This solar paint tech could lead to nearly unlimited EV range
A new type of solar paint could give electric vehicles almost unlimited range, at least in places where the sun shines a lot.

Give him a follow
I'm slowly, slowly starting to find people from Twitter I used to follow, but am still several 1000 short.
Still, a new platform allows a new start, and I'm determined to not repeat the mistakes I made on Twitter.
For the new faces I only met on here, hello, and thanks for following me.
