Leaving for SDHistCon tomorrow! It’s one of my favorite cons in general, and it’s a very special one this time around because my friend and co-designer Paul Wright and I will be showing our first game together, Foxes & Lions.

Queen of Spies is coming to Gamefound Dec. 4, and there is a banner for it at Essen! The number of people who have sent me photos warms my heart.

I finished Brandon Taylor's new novel, Minor Black Figures, yesterday morning and I absolutely loved it. It's a fascinating look at an artist who has a hard time with his work and relationships because he is preoccupied with how others will interpret him.

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett is an absolute BANGER. If you haven't read it, do so ASAP. Thanks to @colewehrle.bsky.social for the rec, you were not joking.

This happened a few days ago but I am still processing it. Who knew starting a YouTube channel for kicks would change my life so much?

My absolute favorite book of vacation was Stone Yard Devotional, a stark, affecting novel about a burnt-out woman who abandons her life, joins a religious community, and confronts grief and shame from her past.

I read a lot on vacation last week, but here is one of the gems: The Bookshop: A History of the American Bookstore. I learned SO much from reading this book, which begins with Benjamin Franklin's bookstore and brings us all the way into the Amazon era. A delight.

On the way back from our peaceful lake vacation. I still have a huge TBR, but I made a dent! Demon Copperhead will be finished by the end of the day. lol

Echoes was a hit with my parents! It’s a 1-6 player game where you use an app to scan cards, listen to the “echoes,” and solve a mystery by putting events in order.

Spending this week at a remote cabin and no cell service. A perfect time to polish Oath rules, read, nap, and enjoy perfect sunsets over the water.
