I don't know if I have the stomach to actually read it, but I think I'd like to have a copy of the NALC presentation if it's possible to share. I'm certain some folks in my circles would appreciate knowing more details about their tactics.

Making me glad I studied systematic theology at an ELCA seminary. Though we definitely have an ecumenical population now, it was not the class you describe!

It's mildly comforting to at least be surrounded by like minded folks. I work in ELCA higher ed. I think I only hang on to a stream of sanity because most of my coworkers also see the fire.

Yeah. Sorry I didn't think of that as a split, though I guess it is. We lost a number of congregations when we decided to ordain LGBTQ+ pastors. 142,000 left out of 2.8 million is more like a splinter.
