MSNBC has become MS NOW? I will probably never call it that but it’s a more appealing change than Twitter to X: variety.com/2025/tv/news...

I grew up on West Coast “stubby” butter cubes. Here’s the story behind the svelte “Elgin” sticks I have in my Wisconsin fridge (but still haven’t gotten totally used to): apple.news/AtYKGk1CEQUu...

Everyone warned me about the winters but the humidity has been the biggest adjustment for my Pacific Northwest-y self.
The month is almost over, and the stats are staggering: 18 Central and Eastern states — from Arkansas to New Jersey — and D.C. have experienced a record-muggy July.

Find out where your state ranks and why it’s been so humid here:

I love the Milwaukee Airport’s post-TSA “Recombobulation Area” (and the one in our house). And even if I get to leave my shoes on in the security line I will want to recombobulate. apple.news/ApdDiuQ6-RbS...

I know Target has been a disappointment on many levels (not the least of which is its “cowardcore” #Pride collection for 2025: www.huffpost.com/entry/target...). But these lesbian birdies have my heart! ❤️🏳️‍🌈🚚

Just heard the woman next to me at Costco say “I need to get home by eight to watch Matlock.”

Can someone please verify for me that this is indeed 2025???

Yeah, it’s easy to be cynical about charity songs but after *waves arms* everything I jumped at the chance to write a feel-good story about this one for @realestatenews.bsky.social

I'm not saying I volunteered to write this story so I could mention the judge's burnt umber bow tie.

I'm also not saying that I didn't. @realestatenews.bsky.social

Is it optimism or denial that keeps people buying homes in areas that have been swamped with too much water -- or are facing a future without enough of it?

Yes, I'm back on Bluesky after a hiatus from, well, all social media pretty much. This account will be a mix of my work (@realestatenews.bsky.social) and personal posts, so expect real estate news plus pop culture and the observations of a newcomer to the Midwest. (Spoiler alert: I love it here)

Interesting to cover the NYT's investigation into "gold-plated perks" offered by the National Association of Realtors. Just a week ago, I was listening to NAR's new CEO discuss the organization's "budget-constrained environment" during its massive annual conference. @realestatenews.bsky.social

Closing out the last workday of the year by surviving a pop quiz about my 2024 goals. 😱 (Did not mention the immediate goal of hacking through the Post-Its covering my desk like bright yellow ivy.)

Spent a week in Anaheim and my hotel was literally close enough to hear the screams of joy from the Incredicoaster, but that’s as close as I got to going in lol. Still a good week though, and a rollercoaster in its own way. 🎢 Very proud my RealEstateNews.com team!
