White poppies were first produced in 1933 by the Co-operative Women's Guild, made up largely of women who had lost loved ones in World War One. They were worried by the growing militarisation of Remembrance events and what they saw as a detachment between the red poppy and the need to work for peace

Changes or variants in the many genes that regulate the development of a testis or ovary can result in sex reversal or a non-functioning testis or ovary

I started feeling ill last Saturday late afternoon, properly ill. I thought it was an allergic reaction to something in the room I was in and exhaustion. So I went back to my hotel. I woke up Sunday morning with a thick, wet cough, feeling sick and exhausted.

Link was banned for making a seemingly off the cuff joke that was clearly not inciting violence. Really shameful that you didn’t reinstate him @safety.bsky.app @moderation.bsky.app. Embarrassing for you, especially with the amount of accusations of racism you’ve had.
“As a neurodiversity advocate and as an autistic person, I’m really grateful for so much of the work that’s been done that allows me to be myself and to be successful being myself.” Link, who has been *banned*!?!? from this platform?

I am miffed that on the last day of @worldfantasy2025.bsky.social I'm too ill to attend. I was going to wear my dress! But coughing and vomiting at the banquet and awards my cause upset. Plus, I don't want to give whatever I've got to other people.

The next book on my review list is Moojag and the Auticode Secret by N.E. McMorran.

I met Nem, the author, at @autscape.org in August and bought the first two Moojag books for my cousin's kids, and I've got book three on pre-order. She's lovely and autistic. We talked about writing/publishing.

Phoenix had a run in with the interloper that has been coming into the house and eating her food, and messing in her garden. There was some cat-shouting and then they sauntered away from each other when I went out to see what was going on.

Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.
