The hardest thing about it all is you question the values you shared with people you thought you knew.

You question if you even knew them at all..
I knew we were cooked as a society when everyone just sorta decided they were sick of dealing with Covid and everyone just decided to pretend like it wasn't a thing anymore.
This federal administration is getting worse by the minute

Under end stage capitalism, art is the only thing keeping us sane and serves as a fragile connection to our shared humanity. That's why neoliberals and fascists are so desperate to destroy it with garbage like AI. They've already enshittified and commodified most forms of interaction and culture.

If Poilievre were doing this, folks would rightly be up in arms.

Carney?

He should not get a free pass.

This is anti-democratic.

Althia Raj: Mark Carney is quietly giving sweeping new powers to his ministers
Sneaking a change of this magnitude into a 600-page bill that will not get parliamentary scrutiny raises a red flag, Althia Raj writes.

Like I was saying…

Defending the boat strikes is accepting that Trump can misuse the military however he wants, no limiting principles or need to justify his actions in law.

It is accepting the rule of one man over the rule of law.

Hegseth is saying it out loud:

Look at where electoral politics has gotten us.
Forty years ago, 90% of media outlets were spread across 50 companies.

Now, just 5 companies control 90% of the media market.

This consolidation hurts consumers and helps oligarchs. 🧵

I haven’t and wouldn’t. My experience of her is in politics. I don’t have further time to waste on her. We knew what to expect.

With Starmer, it’s treacherous, deceitful behaviour. His bold statements on opposition, despite near absolute majority, have come to naught.

I genuinely thought that no government could be worse than that of Liz Truss.

I was wrong.

Kier Starmer is a shameful, dishonest and disgraceful PM. His moral bankruptcy has no limits. Complete abandonment of purpose or morality. To think he was ever a human rights lawyer is shocking.

Almost everyone I know is sick right now.

They’ve got a “bad flu” or a “nasty stomach bug”.

Almost no one will utter the word Covid.

It’s not too late to start wearing a mask.

It’s a great way to practice community care while keeping yourself healthy.

Ideally an N95 or better!

Though I really only leave the house for groceries, meds, or medical appointments, I always wear a mask. My respirator has kept me from catching Covid, flu, etc. 😷
