Daisy Bates was an 🇺🇸 civil rights activist, publisher, journalist & lecturer who played a leading role in the Little Rock, AK Integration Crisis of 1957.

With her help, 9 Black students were able to integrate into a previously all-white local high school.

Debra Haaland is a Native-🇺🇸 of the Laguna Pueblo tribe. She became the 1st Native-🇺🇸 to serve as a Cabinet Secretary (Sec. of the Interior '21-'25) & the 2nd to serve in the Cabinet.

She is currently running for Governor of New Mexico in the '26 election.

My research into people of Latin-🇺🇸 heritage has shown multiple recent polls of yet still differing preferences on how to properly identify *mixed* heritage groups of male & female people who comprise a demographic of say, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Colombian + Guatamalan, etc.
