I like how this is trying to capture the spirit of the show even if the writers aren't really sure of the mechanics and rules of the show. But then again the show has no concrete rules so I can let this pass as real Sapphire & Steel.

Great art in these Look-In weekly strips even if the story doesn't quite capture the TV show's lore correctly. Sapphire has an idea at the end of this installment that doesn't seem like something her TV self would ever suggest.

The John Drew Theater is a real 1950s theater. Now called the Guild Hall in East Hampton which is on Long Island.
However the theater in this is a different fictional John Drew Theatre off Broadway so that's very confusing for some reason!!

Playing the ventriloquist and the ventriloquist's dummy were real life ventriloquist and ventriloquist's dummy Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy.
Candice Bergen is Edgar's daughter and Frances Bergen his wife.
Did Charlie marry?
Charlie is the dummy on the left:

Joe and Frank get permission to head east to the strip in Las Vegas and I guess kinda easily locate the perp.
I like that there was a whole installment of just the meeting where the lads get permission to leave the L.A. jurisdiction.

Joe should have taken that punk down in my opinion. OK he has to wait till the man commits the crime but still.

Adapts a story by Jerry Sohl in "Worlds of If" (Nov-59). However the adaptation didn't get it right as it's not clear if space travel has been invented or if this is on Earth or in actually in space. It's messy.

Joe goes undercover yet again!! None of his partners have ever gone undercover. Joe has had more outfits than Mr Benn already.

As well as #Buffy, #ScoobyDoo, #TheGhostBusters, #FreakyLinks, #TheATeam, #PrettlyLIttleLiars, #HarpersIsland and #TheLoneGunmen vibes from this show already I now can add yet another show:
As we are doing "supernatural" jungle pulp so this is alslo #TombRaider!

I'll add my walkthrough of it from here also with it's own new hashtag. Who knows maybe it might even tie-in somehow with the world of "Archive 81"?
We can but hope!!

We get to see Officer Garcia in the facial composition team. I think that's the character's name on radio too but maybe not?
Either way it's good to see a non-white cop already. I presume he is a cop mind?

As it's now a homiicde so must Captain Didion pass the case onto Captain Lohrman. I like that detail a lot and it sticks to the radio continuity well. Least I think it does as I haven't been keeping track of who the head of each division is.
