I'm not advocating for violence. To be very clear, I'm not saying anything about violence. But when our president can literally post himself taking a crap on his own people and call it a day, it feels like 7 million protestors didn't change anything. And that makes me angry and sad all at once.

It's extremely disheartening as a writer because I have all these visions in my head and stories to tell and nobody engages with it. I mostly have given up even bothering because even close friends weren't engaging after promising they would. You're definitely not alone in feeling like this.
