If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.

Online age verification is not like "showing ID to buy alcohol" because
a) the liquor store doesn't get to scan your ID and store a digital copy of it forever in a database that will inevitably get hacked
b) you don't have to show ID to go to the library because they have cocktail recipe books

God exactly. The purpose of writing papers is FOR YOU TO THINK SOMETHING THROUGH, not because a prof has a deficit in their life that needs to be filled by reading 5-7 pages of mediocre bullshit. The bulk of things I recall from undergrad are things I wrote papers about.
I’m sorry to put it this way, but high school and college term papers, 99 percent of the time, have little value as completed work. They will never be remembered or read again. Generating them, in and of itself, is worth essentially nothing, particularly when they recapitulate existing work.

if you care about video games you should also care about securing full rights and safety for the trans community, because nearly every game development team that i am aware of has at least one trans person in a critical, load-bearing position. the industry would collapse without trans folks.
