I've been asked not to respond to Devane's provocations by someone who spotted her account is administered from an RT server, so it's anyones guess as to who's paying for her loyal services.

Lee Marvin is also brilliant in 'Bad Day at Black Rock'. I saw the film as a kid and it left me with an appreciation for 'old films'.

If he has property in France and was taking bribes when living in France then he can be charged in France, can he not?

Trump's FBI release their redacted version of the Epstein Files.

Democrat Congress members then summon the French ambassador to the US and ask for the unredacted version in France's possession.

Simple.

Catapult and a half-chewed Chewit/ Starburst is particularly effective against that most visible type of knob-head: the ones checking their mobile phone. The sticky sap just doesn't wash out of hair easily.

Lost Souls is the only vampire novel worth re-reading.

John Major won the leadership contest in 1990 to become PM then successfully fought a UK General Election in 1992.

Unfortunately, he is a Tory or, as my mum put it at the time when Neil Kinnock and later, (John Smith then) Tony Blair, were leaders of the Labour Party: "Right leader, wrong party."

As Environment Minister, he over-ruled advice on import of living plants because Dobbies wanted to sell some over-priced shrubbery to old feckers.

The only place in Europe that could possibly have offered refuge to the ash is losing its third most abundant tree to dieback.

Criminal. Eco-terrorist.

Should have posted a link to the book and author: www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/564605...

Remember, if you can't afford to support authors and local bookshops, support your local library: it's free but pays a nominal fee to the author each time you borrow (including digital formats)

I've been at a bookseller meeting just like that.

I've also been the bookseller that made a Christmasaurus in his own time to promote a children's book for the shop window display:

Alas, there's a lot of Capitalism-denial thought going on in this comparison...

Best laugh is that 'Britain' isn't a country.

Somewhere between FPTP elections, a City of London veto on proposed legislation and an unelected head of state, it's not even a democracy.

It's called the United Kingdom for a reason. Three nations & an occupied province ruled by an in-bred taxdodger.

It's not the coffee stain that causes offence but the dime-store prom-night cast-off being worn by a senior figure of government. A gentleman's formal white blouse (not a shirt) should have no adornments: no stripes, no studs. And for FFS, learn how to tie a bow rather than a supermarket ribbon.

The national security threat is actually more Scots learning that their fresh water goes by a huge pipeline under the A74(M) to keep the bills for English farms, factories and homes lower than they would be after privatisation.

Water is worth more than oil when you've got none.

Wonder which historian of the future will highlight the link between Cameron doing this in January 2014 and Putin, being assured that no-one would object to another large militaristic state exercising a 'right' to rule their smaller neighbours, invading the Donbas (Ukraine) the very next month?
