Some good news, the old Cherry Tree on campus (that sadly had to be cut down the other year when the wind damaged it) is showing signs of new growth around the old stump!! @nclengineering.bsky.social @newcastleuni.bsky.social #30DaysWild #Nature

Not the best photo (camera phone), but I think these may have been Scaups. I wasn't sure if they were Cuddy Ducks at first. Spotted in the little lake in Exhibition Park, Newcastle.
