That’s interesting, I’m in Merseyside too. Other species seem to have fruited later here but in decent numbers when they got going

This year meadow waxcap seems much scarcer than usual in my locality. I would be interested if anyone else has noticed this?

I feared someone was going to say the only Entoloma I can identify reliably in the field is part of a new species complex or something. Cheers for the info Lukas I will look it up

Hi Matt, really enjoying your Waxcap posts. I have only found this species once in some light mixed woodland on top of limestone Silverdale area. In your experience sort of conditions do they favour and are they early or late season? Thanks
