Just curious to compare to my urban peninsula street (ballparked):

500m, 7-8m wide, based on your math, costing $14,800 per year. Tax revenue $576,000ish. There are two other identical roads in the hood. That's 15% of the bike lane budget?

Not my professional field, but according to Environment Canada, GHG emissions are down 7.1% from 2005 to 2022 with most of the reduction being since the carbon tax was added in 2019.

Industry groups seem to agree that especially industrial pricing has and will have a large impact going forward.

90% to households and 10% to large and varied groups, so it is relatively revenue-neutral.

Quebec also has its own system.

We are doing this in Canada. At best, feelings are mixed, even though many people come out ahead.
