28 years old Broadway/Public Transit fanatic and mild gym buff who lays their head down in the East Bay. Views are my own.
People are more aloof (myself included) lately, I don't even wanna talk about politics anymore, just too miserable and sad (on both sides, find myself getting a little more conservative as I get older) and I just wanna live my life day by day.
The first time Trump was President, other Dems and even just random people would go out of their way to be so kind and welcoming to me. I felt like I had so much opportunity.

And that’s not been the case at all this time and it’s so sad that we are getting this fragmented.

Please do not post incidents include BART stations if said incident did not happen there, trying to avoid paranoia, k. I will read police reports, k.

happy first birthday to Bluesky, and what a year it's been!

with every day, the need for an open network that puts people first becomes increasingly clear. we're glad to be building this with you. after all, the heart of a social network is the people.

You know what scares me? I voted yes on this proposition even though my views shifted rightward. And what scares me more? The nation in general in more to the right than me. It is hard to do research on issues, but please remind yourself of other people and avoid disinformation.
i'm sharing this because it shows how we're sliding backwards even in the most "progressive" states as right-wing hard-on-crime narratives have been successful in past years.

on-the-ground organizing can remind people of their humanity when they go to vote, and fight disinformation. voting matters!

On the bus, I reflected on how this time of year once brought joy but now feels empty. A reminder: not everyone looks forward to Christmas. Many face loss, loneliness, or struggles. Let’s hold space for those in pain and show kindness—we all need support this season. ❤️

If you me, I love musical theatre as much as transit and bikeable living. This marries the two because she's a performer in the ensemble and understudies Eurydice in the West End version of Hadestown.
