If I asked it to modify the drawing slightly, (give the horse a hat / add a rider / make it larger and more realistic) it then either returned the exact same original horse or started showing me something nonsensical again…

I noticed a similar situation. A while back I asked chat gpt to “draw me an ascii art horse.” Predictably, it spat out some jumble of nonsense.

I asked it again just the other day and it gave me something shockingly good. It could do an elephant too. However…
