The answer isn't to double down on neoliberalism and protect the wealthy at the expense of the vulnerable. The system needs to change. Greater targeting of the wealthy, who hoard it, is what is required.

I didn't vote for Labour becos I knew they couldn't be trusted, but even I'm taking aback by just how callous and quick they've thrown vulnerable people under the bus. Reform will be licking their lips.

First up: The Shining by @stephenking.bsky.social. Banging book and, as always, better than the film. I was speaking with a colleague who didn't feel sympathy for Jack, but I felt for him. Trying to escape his demons passed on by father, the Overlook exploited it for its own gain. 5/5
