PhD Student @ University of Edinburgh: Vermont, Northern Frontier, American Revolution, Localism🌲⛰️. Spare time: wandering with Sully the dug, stressing myself out with the Scotland national team 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, learning to deal with AuDHD.
Book no. 2: All Quiet on the Western Front. Worth the read when we see everything going on in the world. Looking forward to reading his sequel

With the world in absolute shambles, I'm escaping by retreating into my childhood and listening to Roald Dahl audio books whilst I walk the dug

First up: The Shining by @stephenking.bsky.social. Banging book and, as always, better than the film. I was speaking with a colleague who didn't feel sympathy for Jack, but I felt for him. Trying to escape his demons passed on by father, the Overlook exploited it for its own gain. 5/5

Sully off lead today for the first time in Falkland. Just the 4 different kinds of poo he rolled in behind my back 🤦‍♂️.

Fresh air helping to overcome my current burnout and to stimulate thoughts to get around this writer's block on localism and the Dominion of New Enfland #AmWriting #PhDLife

Horrible to read this. @vermonthistory.org do an invaluable service for the state. Amazing organisation and amazing people who always went above and beyond to help when I researched there.

Fortunate enough to visit Auschwitz and I recommend everybody experiences it.

I was walking around Camp 2 when a massive thunderstorm hit, whilst everyone else ran for cover I (stupidly) remained out in the open and found the whole place deserted.

It was the most harrowing moment of my life.

Ever since discovering this font in Orlando Figes's A People's Tragedy, I have been looking for it ever since, so I'm asking yall for help! What is this font?! I thought it was Garamond, but I can't find one with no. 1's like that.

Transgenderism is a fabricated problem to distract people from the shambles that neo-liberalism has wrought on them. Just saying.
