I've never contacted my MP until today. @teamlabouruk.bsky.social decision to push through cuts on welfare and push vulnerable people into or further into poverty is simply deplorable. @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social comments yesterday were disgusting, and he is stigmatising mental health.

This is the game right here. This is reason for why everything is the way it is.

Or as Percy Bysshe Shelley wrote way back in 1821:

"The rich have become richer, and the poor have become poorer; and the vessel of the State is driven between the Scylla and Charybdis of anarchy and despotism."
Sen. Bernie Sanders highlighted a new analysis showing that the wealthiest 1% has extracted $79 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans since 1975. In 2023 alone, $3.9 trillion was redirected upward—enough to provide every U.S. worker with a $32,000 raise.

The crisis in British higher education is acute + painful right now. If you are in it you already know this, but for those who are not I want to share what is going on. As strikes start at Newcastle Uni + others will doubtless follow, now is a time for solidarity + resistance

Well worth a listen on the crisis in UK and US universities from @whiskeyrebelpod.bsky.social

Q. Does class contribute to uni decline with potentially more lower class students finding it harder to go becos of the costs involved i.e. acc., living, etc.

Wow: JD Vance is apparently skiing in Vermont this weekend and the locals aren’t having it. Thousands have lined the streets in protest.

Fox News reported that JD Vance had to move to an “undisclosed location” due to protests at the Vermont resort where he’s skiing this weekend. For inflicting misery on the world and here at home in America, this is exactly the energy that should greet Vance wherever he goes for the rest of his days.

Being AuDHD can feel like living between contradictions.

Too much, not enough. Scattered but hyperfocused.

Craving structure but resisting it.

This space is about understanding yourself, not fixing anything.

We’ll explore masking, burnout, inertia, and self-advocacy with others who get it.

Unbelievable. Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK. We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man. Agree? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...

This is UNBELIEVABLE. Keir Starmer has just handed Donald Trump a letter from King Charles, inviting him for a second state visit to the UK. It’s totally unprecedented, and I was so outraged when I he...

One of the biggest problems with ADHD is the inability to concentrate, which has made it increasingly difficult for me to read a book, especially when doing a PhD makes me feel guilty for not doing PhD work! So, I've set myself a challenge to read one book a month and to use this for accountability!

Imagine if Biden wrote something as unhinged as this guy.
Put aside the nastiness of this post, & the way in he attacks Zelenskyy as a dictator but says not a word about his pal Putin, & just focus on the way it is written: would you hire this weird person to work for you? Would you trust this odd person to teach your kid in school?

Trump has just launched a scathing attack on Zelenskyy.

He’s actually called him a dictator.

Globalisation isn't the problem, ya fanny.

It's the hoarding of extreme wealth by a minority, who control the media, the modes of production, and government. That's the problem.

Immigrants & transgender people aren't the problem, they are the scapegoats to keep people from looking up at the 1%.
