I just think this, on its surface is really bad, but when you see the tattoo (it’s not like a fucking swastika) and know his backstory, it’s actually not something we should take him over the coals for. I think to fight the real nazis, we need to not eat our own over the wrong shit.

Sexism, racism, homophobia, etc. for all of their adult lives. Some people may have woken up to these issues later. That’s why they’re called “woke.” Beating real nazis requires accepting people who are late to the cause and may have frankly opposed it before. Sometimes people do change.

JFC people. What’s more likely, this ardently progressive candidate is a secret naz or he was once a young drunk marine and got a ☠️ tattoo that turns out to be an obscure naz symbol? He’s also owned it and had it tattooed over, because this is a total surprise to him.
