Of all the films I’m looking forward to, Ogresse is way up there. When it gets released? Could be a ways off. But a feminist folk musical written by Grammy winning jazz artist, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and animated by Lia Bertels, is very much something to keep your eyes on!

Stray thoughts on Silksong after 10 hours of gameplay:
- The walking stick enemies made me laugh out loud when they first appeared. Wonderfully goofy.
- The Widow fight slaps. It feels like this game’s equivalent of Mantis Lords. Super quick and intense, but with a clear rhythm to the patterns.

1) Popular Chinese animated film. Excellent action but lousy humor.
2) A comedy classic I only recently became aware of.
3) One of my biggest childhood comfort films.
4) Beautiful, fascinating, but boring Soviet animated film.

If I were still a YouTuber I would make a full video essay on how effectively this s01 episode uses both silence and foley to its advantage.
Use of background music in Bubblestand is sparse which is so rare for SpongeBob. Very few episodes balance humor and serene atmosphere quite like this one.
