It was expected that doi.org/10.1016/j.pe... would stimulate debate, a complex matter ... My two cents, for what they are worth: doi.org/10.1016/j.pe..., but also see: doi.org/10.1016/j.pe... and doi.org/10.1016/j.pe... and there is more!

Just read an Essay on narcissism in science by colleague Bruno Lemaitre from the EPFL. I would have preferred to have read it before starting an academic career but it also is a good read once retired, to decode some of the dynamics of the past. Free download here: www.epflpress.org/produit/974/...
