I am truly terrified for Hamdan. If you don’t know who Hamdan Ballal is, he is the director of No Other Land and he and Yuval both won the Oscar for Best Documentary this year

It's absolutely appropriate to criticise Starmer and the government for continued welfare cuts in a highly strained system. But to downplay the threat from Russia, and to make out that the push for increased defence spending is just "jitters" seems naive at best.

Sickening that someone who has shown such courage and strength over the past three years is being forced to grovel to a coward. What a world, eh?

A Trump shill on Newsnight claims there are more people in prison in UK jails for freedom of speech violations than in Putin’s Russia.

These people are radicalised, insane, plain stupid or some combination of all three.

On LBC this morning, I spoke about why we should be far more worried the power Elon Musk is accruing, especially in light of his Open AI moves.

The normalisation of his actions and activity by quite a bit of the US and even UK media is a big part of the problem. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnt...

I've come across the phrase "not detainable" a few times lately in relation to the Mental Health Act, and found this blog reflects my thoughts about it quite well. We need to be really careful as MH professionals that we're not using language to deny care. www.the-critical-amhp.com/blog/whatdoe...

A paper that understands its responsibility, in a country that knows it when it sees it.

Impressive from Die Zeit. Refuses to show the salute, but calls it out for what it so obviously was.

Headline: “A Hitler Salute is a Hitler Salute is a Hitler Salute”

I have no time for the "was it a fascist salute or not?" debate. The man has been using his platform to promote far right parties in foreign elections - why should he be given the benefit of the doubt on this? If a UK public figure did anything like this, what would the reaction be?

I mean Trump today is quite literally releasing far right extremist paramilitary leaders who staged an insurrection. America, even American liberal media, is responding with an exhausted and defeated shrug.

Obviously I’m not privy to the full details, but I do struggle to understand how the staff member reported here (who filmed and shared seven videos of a patient on WhatsApp) is still working in mental health services.

Dear Mr BlueSky. Last night I had a dream where I foolishly released a glut of nanobots into the environment, and subsequently was no longer sure if I was living in reality or some kind of Matrix-esque simulation. Today I have just taken my electric car in to be serviced. What can this mean?
