I hope Susan doesn't read your post. These latest encounters have made her a nervous wreck around the house - she wouldn't be able to sleep!

I haven't had an eye test since we all did them around the same time at Moov2! 😅

I'll leave you with a little shower thought I once read somewhere: by removing the spiders we find indoors, it's like a form of natural selection, leaving behind the ones who are much better at hiding...

Want to hear something unnerving? Most of the large spiders we find in our houses this time of year haven't actually come in from outside—they live indoors. All. Year. Round. They're just really good at hiding when they're not trying to mate.

If you take your eye off them and they disappear, you'll be constantly on edge wondering where they are and when they're going to make a reappearance.

But these latest visitors are the "drop everything you're doing and get it out of the house now" type. They are not sitting and waiting for a meal—as per the terms of their tenancy agreement—but are actively looking for a mate.

I don't normally mind spiders; as long as they stay in their corner and keep the little bugs away, it's a mutually beneficial arrangement.

A whole day of walking is impressive! My treadmill gets quite hot after a couple of hours of use and I don't want to overdo it.

Totally agree with how walking whilst working helps you get in the flow. It's like the part of my brain that wants to procrastinate is kept busy focusing on walking.

I'd love to see more of this on Bluesky. It's refreshing
