Stand here, drink tea, say good morning. I think I can handle that.

Lovely morning for University of Northampton parkrun.

Beautiful skies in Far Cotton this evening. We had a double rainbow, it was so bright and crossed the whole sky. My phone camera couldn't do it justice. I stood and watched it for a good while!

Timekeeping today at University of Northampton parkrun. Great turnout - 216 finishers! Well done Haydn, got a course PB.

Good attendance at film night again, at the Rec centre this evening showing Paddington in Peru.

Thank you considerate Voi scooter rider for parking at the edge of the path. Proof it can and does happen.

This is my third post about scooter parking recently, maybe that’s enough for a while!

Unexpected side effect of running on sand (and ok I admit, in the sea a bit afterwards) - spotless shoes. They’ve not been this clean for a while! Woolacombe Dunes parkrun.

Just got home from a week in Devon. Enjoyed Woolacombe Dunes parkrun on Saturday. It’s known as a tough one but don’t be put off, it’s also beautiful!

Another example. As I was moving the closest Voi scooter a person riding a mobility scooter slowed down to go around the one on its side.

Blocking the path causes problems, but it’s easy to avoid them just by parking at the edge.

If you use a Voi scooter please be mindful to avoid blocking the path when you park it.

It only takes a moment of care to keep the path accessible for everyone.

Denailing reclaimed pallet wood boards for a project. Therapeutic and good fun. I’ll probably reuse the nails too.

Ran my first 5k today since injuring my foot in December. Jeffing all the way. Wendover parkrun is absolutely beautiful. Loved it!

Sunset silhouette of St Mary's church, Far Cotton, 26 Mar 2012. Not sure why so purple, might just have been my camera.

I love volunteering at parkrun. It's not a huge commitment and it's always rewarding. Was a lovely surprise to receive a pin badge to mark my 50th time volunteering today from Run Director, Catherine Hickford.

Curious start to parkrun this morning… I’m sure all will be revealed!

Local and parish elections are coming on 1 May 2025. Deadline for nominations is 2 Apr. Not everyone would consider becoming a councillor, but someone needs to so why not me, or you? #standvoteinfluence

Stopped to watch a train crossing the Nene. Nice to have a bit of light left after work.

Looking forward to parkrun again tomorrow at the University of Northampton, hoping it's warm and bright like last week! I'm on finish tokens so if you're running, I'll see you at the end!

Fantastic weather at University of Northampton parkrun this morning, lovely and warm for a change! I’m really grateful to have a parkrun so close to where I live.

As part of the community council's work to produce a neighbourhood plan we have just launched a consultation about green spaces in the area, what they're used for now and how residents want them to be used. Please find the survey here: forms.gle/Wae2fRVifv5Y...

Spotted this ad in Metro on the bus today. Agree with the campaign I think, but their website is light on detail. Another tech vs copyright debate. #makeitfair

Not the first one of these guys I’ve seen unsupervised on the street lately. Is it some kind of invasion? Did someone think the lamp post looked lonely?

Good attendance at our showing of #TheWildRobot. A moving film with so many themes, including the strength in our differences, and the relationship between technology and nature. I enjoyed it!
