Preserving the UI really helps make that relaunching invisible. It’s extra effort but it makes apps much better when they do. Especially ones that people return to regularly.

Tim Walz became nationally famous for calling Republicans 'weird' because no other public figures or media orgs these days consistently call out aberrant behavior or strange ideas. (This is how the anti-vax movement eventually gained control of the CDC and FDA.)
