also my more intrepid and also fatter cat (this is her) managed to fall down the back of a six foot display case/book case overnight, which was too heavy to move without unloading half the books and a full shelf of dishes

Another form of JS is victim sensitivity, or believing you, personally, are being exploited. Victim sensitivity can lead to aggressive behaviors like vengeance seeking. It can also subtly hurt relationships.

in a dark museum display case, a silver Anglo-Saxon cross about 20 cm high, equal height and width, decorated with swirling black oxide work. A deteriorating silver coil chain is wrapped around it. The centre boss is missing, leaving an exposed rivet where it was attached. In a dark museum display case, silver Viking and bands which have been bent out flat roughly. They are decorated with various hammer work textures. (except: QLD Bottle Tree. SE Asian family behind us speaking mostly not in English but I caught them laughing the Australians think that’s a big bottle tree. lol.)
QLD Bottle Tree: middling height tree with a super thicc rounded trunk, looks kind of like a fresh fennel bulb, I want to cuddle it bad three incredibly tall grass trees with their long dark flower stalks attempting to clean the ear holes of the sky in an arid rocky area, a low sparse silver leafed bush, and a leggy tiny leafed yellow-green plant with tiny vivid purple-blue spiky-petalled flowers pale dry-looking bush made up of a thicket of thin runners - the flower is a sweet little round fluted green pendant bell, with a ruff of red-pink at the crown

do people know that Royal Botanical Gardens Vic has a Cranbourne campus? I did not but now I do!! It’s huge, focused on Australian plants, designed by architects so sometimes a bit like corporate office building landscaping, but very cool. Definitely recommend the mini bus tour for context.
huge downhill water feature, lined by low trees, simulating an intermittently flooding stream. square rusted iron squares stand in for pebbles, and there’s a huge irregular sculptural iron wall on the right bank. large landscaped artificial lake with curvy ochre-white concrete faux islands, and curving ochre-white concrete walls lining the banks in places. in the foreground is a small white faux beach of fine pale pebbles and dune grasses huge landscape feature stretching to a treed horizon, simulating a central Australian desert with ochre red earth, patterned with manicured round plantings of low grey-green desert plants. the earth is raked in parallel circles around the circles of the plantings.

often I find the vintage design drawings pleasing, even though I reckon I’d find the finished piece a gaudy monstrosity - also how good were these guys at rendering light on gems

looking at this history of Bulgari(/BVLGARI) at the library and like, high end designer fine jewellery will never be part of my life personally, due to both $ and having modest Protestant ‘good’ taste, but I surprised myself by enjoying the pieces here in their capacity as design 🧵
