It all began when team member Belal Salem @belals.bsky.social spotted large teeth sticking out of the ground. This led to the discovery of a nearly complete skull of Bastetodon, a fearsome leopard-sized carnivore that once roamed ancient lush Fayum forests. #SallamLab #MUVP
