The two part episode "The Menagerie" were episodes 11 and 12 from the first season and recycled footage from the pilot and allowed them to turn out enough episodes in the short time they were given, due to only needing to shoot limited additional content to fill the time.

And voici!

One day later, and I'm in the Old Age Gamers Club, and I've got my little shield flair in the game now.

It cracks me up that 40 years later, I've still got a hobby working around Microsoft's machinations.

But, thanks to that subscriber guarantee, even after the project was ended, it took the lawyers another 30 years to get the films to the public. And a few more for me to find it.

Thus, only a small number of people ever saw any of the films in their theatre runs. To enhance the value of the subscriptions, subscribers were guaranteed that the films would never be shown on TV and never released to the public. The experiment was abandoned after 2 years.

IF you purchased a subscription to the AFT series THEN you could buy tickets to any of its films. (Exceptions were made for movie critics and members of award-granting organizations, such as the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences which awards the Oscars.)

And for the record, and the kids that don't know, I've only edited ONE thing in that photo.
