'Innis & Gunn acquired the original recipe from the Allsopp family, meaning it can accurately recreate the ale.'

So, no they didn't need open it for that reason. Also, no, it won't taste the same - unless they have a time machine or are prepared to wait another 150 years ...

I've now been drinking for over 11 hours, so, er, maybe I should stop, or at least slow down 🤣
10:15am and I poured my first sake of the day :¬/

When I worked as a postie in Oxford, I used to drive the forerunner of these. They were converted golf buggies and were absolutely superb. Allowed me to leave the office with all my bags and all the parcels for my route, and just get on with the day. Loved it.
⚡📮Nice work @royal-mail.bsky.social, who have just announced the launch of a new fleet of over 100 micro electric vehicles, replacing 52 vans.

Better for the climate and for deliveries. This is exactly the kind of move we need to see for cities free of diesel vans!

Today's sandwich is pan fried chicken with peanut butter and hot sauce.

Goes well with the sake.

This whole faff trying to get HMRC to give me a license to brew out of my garage is getting to the point where I'm about ready to abandon it, sell off the vast majority of my kit and scale right down to a new 30l system to just do the occassional homebrew for myself.
November 13, 2025 at 7:54 AM
Right, I'm done for the day and heading off for an early night.
Lots of "important" faffing stuff to do tomorrow :¬/

Great, HMRC still can't find in their records that I've paid all the Duty I owed them from the previous brewery, so until I get bank records from over 6 years ago, they won't progress my brewing license application.
I applied in March ffs.

Today I shall mostly be editing video.

And drinking tea.

After I've gone to the store to get in some more teabags and milk.

Once it stops raining.

More rested today after a week in Belfast, so cooking from scratch again!
November 11, 2025 at 12:29 PM
I was planning to cook a nice lunch for myself today seeing as I'm back home and have my kitchen.
But I'm still absolutely knackered and reckon it'll just be a bacon sandwich 🤣

Back home, washing in the machine, and first order of the day is to go to the shops to get in some milk for tea. As well as some food, should probably remember I need to eat and not just drink tea 🤣

Had so much fun working the Discovery Bar at Belfast Beer Fest, that when we closed up about 7:30, I carried on helping out in the other bars!
Such a great vibe at this festival!
