let’s normalize respecting people’s privacy. no one is entitled to know about anyone else’s most painful memories and i think it’s kinda sad that people feel the need to justify why they draw what they draw by publicly listing every instance of abuse they’ve ever experienced.

i will never demand to know anyone’s story. i don’t care if someone’s making transgressive art for fetish purposes either. this attitude of ‘it’s only okay to draw xyz if it’s vent art’ creates a hostile environment for survivors who don’t want to disclose their experiences to a bunch of strangers.
