Is it bad that I often wish I had a friend with me in group therapy to debrief afterward?

It's a safe space, no judgment. But it's definitely a mixed bag of people in there. 😅

Scouring the literature to reinforce RFK Jr's pre-conceived notions of truth is not science, and it is not what anyone at CDC should be doing with their time.

I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

I'm curious how many of the new apartment complexes popping up all over Utah are actually at full capacity?

I love looking up tips for certain tasks that are a struggle with ADHD - such as keeping litter boxes clean - and finding a hundred answers of people basically saying: "Just do it."

Oh thanks, I hadn't tried that yet. Turns out, the answer was always to just try harder. 🤪

This is what "running the government like a business" looks like. A cash grab around every corner.

I hate ASMR videos with every fiber of my being.

I truly can't fathom how anyone could enjoy hearing someone's wet mouth sounds while they eat or whisper. And the exaggerated facial expressions while they eat!? Gross.

And don't get me started on damn nail tapping!

"We won the popular vote by big numbers and won counties in our country 2,700 to 525."

Trump won the popular vote in 2024, but only by a small margin (1.5%), one of the smallest in modern history.

Why did it become so normalized for some to so blindly believe everything their leader says?

Just finished Neko Case's memoir. So heartbreaking, well written, and genuinely human. She has a gift with words, as those familiar with her music already know.

Oh, and her narration of the audiobook is superb.

Watching Ugly Betty for the first time. It's cute lighthearted TV. But damn, the early 2000's constant obsession with weight is definitely something I'm still trying to remove from my brain.

The closest I can trace that "He who saves his country" quote to the actual Napoleon is to the 1970 film Waterloo:

"He who saves a nation violates no law."

Me: When I was an art student, we had an annual anti Valentine's student exhibit but it was canceled because it was making kids cry.

C: (Uncomfortable look) ...oh.

I don't always know the right thing to say to people. 🤷‍♀️
