#RSL have inquired about 24 y.o. striker Adriano Bertaccini from St. Truiden in Belgium. He had 21 goals last year, which is way more than any of the other attackers we've been linked with!

The team have signed DeAira Jackson as a third GK. She’s 23 and had a good career at Grand Canyon university before signing briefly with Orlando Pride after a successful 2025 preseason trial.

It has now been reported by multiple people that #RSL have agreed to a loan deal +$3 million buy option with Independiente Medellín of Colombia for 24 y.o. forward Brayan León.

Below is the xG Allowed for each NWSL team (per Opta). Two teams stick out: KC Current & #URFC. This is unacceptable and I chalk it up to both poor individual play and the coaches not putting players in positions to succeed.

Against NCC, #URFC switched to a more symmetrical 2-4-4 in possession. After defending in the same 4-4-2, the wingers would push up and provide the width and the two center forwards would drop back to receive the ball in build-up. In postgame, Jimmy called them "two false nines." (cont.)

The Royals changed their attacking shape last game. The blue dots represent their old approach: They defend in a 4-4-2, but when they got the ball the RB would provide width on the right and the RW would enter the right half-space as a second 10 in a 3-2-4-1 shape...

Attached are the first half vs second half xG numbers for and against #URFC from each game. We knew they were a second half team, but I didn't realize how extreme the difference was. What do you think about this? I have one theory as to why this could be happening below...

At the start of the season our biggest weaknesses were probably CF & FB. After the window, our weaknesses are still CF & FB. Hopefully Agada proves to be an answer, Russell provides some competition to raise the level in the attack, and the fullbacks settle in. #RSL

Very frustrating loss for #RSL. TFC aren’t bad defensively, having allowed just 1 goal in their last 4 games (vs RSL, MIN, MIA, & VAN), and Luna’s red card was BS, but <1 xG on 23 shots is bad attacking football. Their keeper did make some big saves but we’ve got to do much better.

Very frustrating loss for #RSL. TFC aren’t bad defensively, having allowed just 1 goal in their last 4 games (vs RSL, MIN, MIA, & VAN), and Luna’s red card was BS, but <1 xG on 23 shots is bad attacking football. Their keeper did make some big saves but we’ve got to do much better.
I’m happy with the #URFC win yesterday. It was a good defensive performance and the penalty was the right call. However, we still need to be much more dangerous in the final third to have a successful season. Maybe all we can do is wait to get more healthy as a team.

Big Gav had a great game! His team blew a lot of chances but he did a great job with his distribution and made some big saves down the stretch to preserve a 0-0 draw. He's ready for competitive games and has immense potential (I still don't think #RSL handled the GK situation very well last year)

Something I missed: Rafael Cabral is the only #RSL player over 30 years old. Glad, Diogo, & Junqua are 28, and all other other regular contributors are 26 or younger.

You’re right about the subs in #MINvRSL. In the first half we had 0.1 xG (0 big chances) and in the second we had 1.52 xG with 3 big chances. Unfortunately those chances were missed by Barea (2) and Junqua, but Gozo, Brook, Barea, & Hidalgo definitely improved our attack when they came on.

Yesterday’s #URFC game was truly a tale of two halves. What we did to turn the tide and draw level in the second was very encouraging. To give it away soon after so cheaply was disappointing.
