Simply put, I adore this time of year

Christmas tree up and decorated. First time since moving to Japan over a decade ago but now that we have a kid in the house we gotta keep that Christmas spirit and excitement alive!

A temple gate that predates Edo itself. Kotokuji was built when Kyoto was still the capital city. Tokyo, or what was soon to become Edo, was but a mere fishing village still.
