You guys realize that taxing people to pay for services isn't socialism, right? This is just how governments work.

How is national media reacting to Katie Wilson’s win in Seattle?
Seattle voters followed the contentious race for months. Now, the rest of the U.S. is watching, too.

Seems like a notable that present-day sewer socialists are not just winning major cities, but now *unseating* incumbents.

We got one of the Ava e-bike vouchers and brought home a fun e-bike but the charger fine print is giving me pause. You can only charge indoors, on concrete/brick, while you're present to keep an eye on things?
So don't get an e-bike unless you have a garage and enjoy spending time in it?

Just terribly shoddy police work to not collect the weapon and enter it into evidence.
Defense is now questioning Lairmore on cross-examination. They show a video still of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground, post-throw.

"Do you recognize that sandwich?" the attorney asks.

Lairmore won't confirm.

"I did not go back to collect it," he says.

Just called the utility to shut off our gas service. Hard to overstate what a *upgrade* it's been to de-fossilize. Everything we've installed is just objectively better than the thing it replaced (and everything's going to pay for itself!)

As an aside: the armed guy on foot is not wearing a gas mask, and that cannister was deployed *upwind* of him and the car he's escorting. It doesn't look like these feds have had any *training* on responding to crowds.
