When we were still worrying about Trump being elected again this was on the top of the list of horrid things he could do - help Russia take the Ukraine. The fact that he and his team of deplorables are so bad at their jobs is the reason it hasn’t literally happened yet. But they muddle on.

Canada’s position is “defence” not “offence”. The increased spending is about sovereignty and defending that sovereignty. Which includes infrastructure spending. It is just reckless misinformation to claim it’s about “bombing other countries”.
It’s also a jobs program.
